Cool interface idea
Just came across this interface prototype using flartoolkit, i’ve noticed a few people starting to build interfaces using marker tracking, but i can imagine a much more robust interface controller will emerge that doesnt rely on detecting a marker on a webcam. check it out though, its pretty cool.

Storyboards
Here are my badly drawn storyboards, i think they get across what im trying to do with the film though. Essentially it starts off with me and some extra people getting ready to go out, compiling the flash project and carrying all the equipment, you see us set up the laptop and camera, and then [...]

Video Planning
Just thought i’d tell you about the installation as it is being done in public spaces and also how i might show it in the crit. In public places essentially what i am doing is attatching a webcam to the back of a laptop screen so that the screen appears see-through and the augmented visuals [...]

Papervision3D
Flartoolkit on its own doesnt display anything in 3D as it requires a 3rd party engine to do this. It has been built to accomadate pretty much all the big 3D flash engines around but it comes by default with one called Papervision3D heres a demo of papervision working I’ve been reading into papervision as [...]

Flex!!!
Flartoolkit was built on the Flex platform so i thought i’d explain what i’d learned about Flex as I have never used it before. Flex is essentionaly a framework for developing applications, it organises your projects for you and all the assets that are linked to that project. In my case it lets you code [...]

Augmented Reality
I thought it would be wise to do a post a brief explanation defining augmented reality as I mention it a lot without ever explaining what it actually means. I’l provide links where possible. Basicly augmented realiy is a term used to describe see’ing a version of reality that has been changed/modified/altered in some way [...]
